Thanksgiving Feast at School

The kids had their Thanksgiving Feast at school today. We started off with a rally in the gym and then did three laps around the school/church property to raise money for JDRF. A little girl that went to Macland a few years ago had Juvenile Diabetes so they have been a great supporter each year to this family/the organization. Most of the kids didn't understand that it was supposed to be a "walk" and they ran the three laps - Kaitlyn in the lead of course! Tyler and I tried to keep up on the stroller.

We then had a great meal in the fellowship hall of the church. The kids had made really cute decorations for the tables. Kaitlyn and Tyler's "placemats" are laminated pieces of art. They were both so cute I had to share. Some of the other kids "recipes for Turkey" from Kaitlyn's class were hysterical. I'm glad Kaitlyn at least mentioned something healthy - although I'm not really sure where Salad is coming from since she won't eat it!!

Kaitlyn's class also made Indian costumes out of pillow cases. The class looked so cute but I couldn't get to my camera in time so I took her picture once we got home.

Welcome Home UB!!

Yesterday, on Veteran's Day, we welcomed home my brother Brad. Uncle Brad (aka "UB") has been stationed on the USS Columbia, a submarine, in Pearl Harbor, HI. After a 5 year commitment, he has decided to leave the Navy and come home. We are very proud of him and we were all so excited to see him at the airport and have him back home!!

Last week....

Here are a few cute pictures of the kids from last week. They were pretending to nap in Mommy and Daddy's bed. Too bad they don't go to their beds this easily! Tyler has really mastered his "Say Cheese" face as well for pictures!!

The last picture is of Tyler on the potty. He kept telling us he had to go potty and went into the bathroom and climbed on the potty!! It's a little early yet for potty training, but we thought it was cute.

Halloween Slideshow

Here are pictures from the carnival at the kids school and from trick or treating Halloween night. Kaitlyn led the school parade (of course) and Tyler wouldn't walk in the parade without Mommy.

Stain Removal Tips

My Mom helped me with my search for stain removal tips and found this great website so I wanted to share. http://www.mrscleannw.com/tips/
Here I learned how to get rid of the iced tea stain that wouldn't come out of the front of Tyler's shirt - I soaked it in vinegar and rubbed salt on it and "whalla" out it came!
