Sometimes even a wet wipe isn't enough....

Today was Tyler's first day at MMO. I only had the chance to take one picture and it didn't turn out. He only stayed for 2 hours - I didn't want to traumatize him for more than that and I was having Mom guilt. He did fine and only cried for a little bit (or so they said)!! I went to the track and tried to run (that was a joke and I'm totally paying for it today!) and I enjoyed a trip to the grocery store BY MYSELF!! ;-)

Last night for dinner Tyler decided to put the whole piece of pizza in his mouth - it was hilarious!

Then for dessert he decided to paint his face and head with his ice cream cone - not so hilarious. Allen had to take him into the shower to get him cleaned up.....sometimes even a wet wipe won't do it!

First Day of School

Today was Kaitlyn's first day back to school. She's attending Macland Presbyterian Preschool again this year in the three year old classroom. She goes to school M, W, F from 9-1. She was so excited about going back (and so was I!). She gets to bring "a friend" to school with her for the first week - of course she choose "Kitty". Her teachers are Ms. Laura (pictured) and Ms. Morgan.
Tyler enjoyed his one-on-one time with Mommy today!

Scooter Girl & Brother

Kaitlyn got a "new" (very used consignment sale $5 deal!) scooter last week. Unfortunately right after we purchased it Tyler decided to get sick (in the car! GROSS!) so she didn't get to use it until this weekend. She's already a pro! (Note: I DID NOT pick out this outfit for her! Gotta love the creativity with the two sets of pink stripes and the RED shoes. Also notice the pearl necklace!)

Tyler was doing his "cheese" for the camera face for Namma.

Jumpits

We had playgroup at Jumpits today and it was so much fun! We had the place to ourselves almost the whole time too! The kids were able to just run around, climb and jump. It was great and as an added bonus Tyler took a 3 hour nap today and Kaitlyn took a record 2 1/2 hour nap! We WILL be going back!! :-)

Field Trip with Namma

Namma heard about this great miniature petting zoo for kids about 30 minutes from our house. It's called Tanglewood Farm (http://www.tanglewoodfarmminiatures.com/). Here are some pictures from their special day today! Thanks Namma!
Kaitlyn liked the goats until the jumped on her and she said that the cows smelled bad. She had a great time running from the pig and loved the big bunnies. She got to ride a pony and play with a Manx cat with no tail. There was also an awesome tree fort that she climbed up in and then had to show a 4 year old boy how to do it because he couldn't get up by himself! Go Girl!

First Hair Cut

My baby boy got his first hair cut today. Thanks to Namma who came along to help take pictures! Tyler wouldn't sit in the car or airplane so I had to hold him in my lap for Ms. Gwen to cut his hair. She cut off lots of curls and saved them for me - I was so sad! He still has lots of wave left to his hair so maybe it will stay curly after all!
BEFORE:

AFTER HAIRCUT (and outfit change) he helped sweep up!

Kaitlyn also got her hair cut to get ready for school.

Say "Cheese"!!! Isn't he handsome!!

A Date/Day #4

Many thanks to Mimi and her friend Ms. Alice who babysat Kaitlyn and Tyler so that we could have an adult evening out. Dinner and a movie! Yeah!! We saw Hancock - very funny.

Our last day at the beach. Mimi was able to go with us - the most enjoyable day yet! The best weather, great waves and a cool breeze. PERFECT! Too bad it was our last day.

We tried to get a family photo - hard to keep everyone still. The best shot was of three of the four of us and it was a "self portrait"!

Broadway at the Beach

We took the kids here last night to ride some of the kiddie rides. When we got there the black clouds rolled in and unfortunately the rides shut down. We escaped before getting drenched. (We made a slight detour on the way home to visit Krispy Kreme - hey - we are on vacation!!) We took the kids back this morning since it was sort of a gloomy day and Tyler had been completely devastated that he didn't get to ride the "Choo Choo". That was the first ride of the day today! Kaitlyn took after Grandpa and "piloted" her first airplane! We also fed these HUGE fish off of the boardwalk - the kids loved that! We took the kids to their favorite place for lunch - Chick fil A and got this cute shot of Tyler after he climbed up in this car. Should be on a billboard!
