Donuts for Dads

Kaitlyn had "Donuts for Dads" at school last Wednesday. Fortunately, Allen was in town because not only does he love doing things at school with Kaitlyn, he LOVES Donuts! Kaitlyn's teacher sent this cute picture to me so I thought I'd share.

Meet Cousin Robert!

My cousin Robert was in town briefly on Monday night. It was a layover through Atlanta on his way home to LA from ARUBA!! (Jealous!!) The kids immediately LOVED him (who wouldn't) and wanted to show him all of their toys. Tyler (who doesn't take well to strangers) just grabbed his finger and asked him to come over and play with him! It was so cute!!

Tyler loves hanging out with his Grandpa!

Namma brought Kaitlyn light up wings to go with her Tinkerbell costume - Kaitlyn thought it would be fun to fly backward!

American Adventures Reward Trip

Kaitlyn finally earned enough stickers for her reward trip to American Adventures. She loved screaming on the roller coaster with Daddy! It'll probably take another year at the rate we are going for her to earn enough stickers for anything, but I have to try something to bribe for good behavior!

When they actually get along....

they are just too cute! Tyler learned his "cheese face" from his big Sis!

Photo Share & Catch Up!

I'm so far behind on posting that I wanted to add a few things before bed.

These are pics of Allen and Tyler on Labor Day - Go APP! Chick 'fil A was having a promo for free food if you wore football attire - so we were all sporting College gear. Somehow both of my children have outgrown their Georgia stuff and I haven't replaced it!! I'll have to fix that ASAP!

Happy Birthday Mary! Kaitlyn attended Mary's Princess party at Miss La La's Treehouse as Tinkerbell. She got her face painted and played with some of her friends from playgroup.

Posing for her first day of swim lessons at the Cobb County Aquatic Center. She's in the "Minnows" program and doing great!

Behind on Blogging!

Sorry, I'm a week behind on blogging! Nothing major has been going on, we just seem to stay so busy!

Two cute stories to share, both from a week ago Friday:

Kaitlyn and I were making cupcakes for Daddy since he had been out of town and we wanted to make him a welcome home treat. Kaitlyn was being a great helper and when it came time to put the eggs in the bowl she said "Mommy, I can hatch the eggs!". So cute!

Then, later that night, Allen was putting them to bed and Kaitlyn did something wrong (probably getting out bed or not listening). Anyway, Allen said "damn it" an Kaitlyn said, "Daddy, what's a damn it?" HA!! I'm just glad she asked him and not me because I'm sure the first 999 times she heard that word were out of my mouth and NOT his!!

More posts to come: We've started swimming lessons, we had a reward trip to American Adventures and a visit from Cousin Robert!! Stay tuned!

Mommy Goes to Time Out

Yes, I'm up for nominations for Mother of the Year (again!). This time it was because I forgot to send Kaitlyn's lunch with her to school on Wednesday. When I opened the fridge at Noon to make lunch for Tyler -- I saw her lunch box sitting there. Uggh! I brought it with me when I picked her up and she wasn't happy with me at all. When we got home she asked me to go to time out for forgetting her lunch. I obliged. I turned my head to look at her and she quickly scolded "put your nose back in the corner right now!!" Gee....wonder where she learned that? I had to stay there for "three" minutes - her version was more like 20 seconds - and then apologize to her and tell her "I will never do that again!". No I won't! :-)
